My little sewing blog is not even a month old yet, but this year I get to play with all the big guys and participate in the annual event at My Happy Sewing Place, Sew Grateful Week 2014 Giveaways Link Party!
I hope I am not breaking any rules, but my giveaway turned out to be a knitting giveaway. I am offering a Summer 2008 VERENA issue with a bunch of knitting patterns and designs. If you never heard of it, Verena is published by Burda in a variety of languages and is a pretty popular edition in Europe.
Magazine is done in a similar fashion as BurdaStyle magazine but with knitting patterns. The cover above gives you some idea about what to expect. There is a page with symbols and abbreviations included (which would be very important for a beginner like me!).
In the beginning of this issue you can find index spread with all patterns that come with it, very similar to the international edition of BurdaStyle. Here is index page along with a couple of sample pages from this magazine (those are not the best and not even my favorite, I just wanted to give you an idea about styling).

I am not a very experienced knitter so I cannot vote for the quality of the instructions that accompany every pattern, but … I am giving it away for nothing, free. š If you do know how to knit or if you are interested in learning, you can’t lose by winning this giveaway.
